The blood clotting process in our body:

Thromboplastin is released by damaged tissues in our body.

Thereafter, it reacts with calcium and protein prothrombin.

Prothrombin is converted into thrombin which catalyses the conversion of protein fibrinogen.

Fibrinogen will be converted into fibrin threads, then it will solidify as the top layer of cells dies.

To form a scab. The scab protects the underlying skin where the new cells are being formed to replace the old ones.

When new cells are completed, the scab will drop off.
