The spring balance will have different readings on the Earth and Moon. However, the beam balance will still read the same. Explain.

Alright, this presentation was done by my group. I'll do my best not to be bias(:

Above is a picture of a spring balance.

Definition of a spring balance:

It measures weight not mass.

It meaures in N(newtons).

As we all know, weight changes due to gravity, right?

So, when we're at the moon, our weight would of course be different from our weight on earth.

Above is a picture of a beam balance.

Definition of a beam balance:

It measures the mass of an object, not the weight of an object.

Mass is the amount of matter within our body and does not depend on thegravity pull from the e
earth.

Therefore, when we use beam balance at the moon to measure mass, nothing will change! EUREKA! (:

What I have learnt:

You guys know what? I didn't know beam balance actually looked like that! Only when i searched on the net>.<>
Earth is really amazing, I'm really mesmerised by how the solar system was formed billions and billions years ago. It's really amazing. I just want to go out of the point for a while.

: I believe everyone sees stars every single night right? Right;p. Since the Sun is a star, I would always think about the stars above us, shining brightly at us are Sun of other solar system too. Ah, maybe you guys have thought of it before, but I still want to continue about this(: Stars are beautiful(: I have always heard of stuff like the sun's going to die and explode someday. Sometimes when I looked up to the sky, occasionally i'll see stars shining for a while and then not anymore. Is it because the sun is going to explode or something? Hey, this is really cool! Don't you think so? (: Ok, i shall end my blabber here.:

Oh! There's such thing as artificial gravity? That's so cool(:

ok, i'll end this here, next post coming up.(:
